Clinical Therapist
I am a clinical therapist at Perspectives Counseling Centers http://www.perspectivesoftroy.com I have office hours at Perspectives' office in Sterling Heights two days/evenings a week and at their Troy office the other days/evenings.
Prior to employment at Perspectives, I worked as a mental health specialist at Lincoln Behavioral Services, a community mental health agency in Redford, MI. I provided therapy, conducted psychological assessments, and fielded crisis calls from adult clients.
Before entering the counseling profession, I was in full-time pastoral ministry for 17 years in churches throughout the Midwest in various roles including associate minister, lead pastor, and executive minister. I also worked for nearly 6 years in business management and sales positions in the finance and retail sales industries.
I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Church Growth, from Lincoln Christian University (Lincoln,IL) in 1985 and a Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Siena Heights University (Adrian, MI) in 2008.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. I am also an ordained pastor by the independent Christian churches/churches of Christ.
I have been married for 25 years and we have two teenage sons. |
